Elskop Scholz & Tillett Lighting Design

Elskop Scholz and Tillett Lighting Design are award-winning New York City firms. Architect Christopher Scholz, AIA, and designer Inés Elskop, AAIA, collaborated with lighting designer Dr. Linnaea Tillett on the Tangula Luxury Train concept. Together they developed an entirely new kind of train environment—where cutting-edge technology is contained within a discrete and luxurious envelope, and every element is finely crafted while also meeting the train’s rugged and demanding engineering criteria.

Elskop Scholz is a Design and Architecture firm established in 1992 by Christopher Scholz and Inés Elskop. They have consulted on projects ranging from industrial design to land development, as well as mid-scale building and interiors projects, in the United States and abroad. The firm has received a number of awards, including the prestigious Architecture Design Award from the American Institute of Architects, New York Chapter.

Elskop Scholz seeks to give form to each client's brief via a thorough and careful review of program and function towards establishing a unique result. Their designs feature references based on historical, cultural and geographical conditions pertinent to each project.

Founded by Dr. Linnaea Tillett in 1983, Tillett Lighting Design Inc. has a reputation for artistry, technical innovation and functionality. An environmental psychologist, Dr. Tillett incorporates knowledge of the perceptual, behavioral and psychological effects of light with extensive experience in lighting luxury interiors, fine art, architecture and landscape. She addresses both the visual environment and its emotional texture.
